Dear readers,
As you know, Turkey is going through tumultuous times. Mass protests have gripped the nation since last week’s arrest of İstanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
To make sense of developments, we’re hosting a live video chat today with Selim Koru, writer of Kültürkampf and author of the book New Turkey and the Far Right, and Diego Cupolo, editor-in-chief at Turkey recap.
We’ll start the webcast at 1600 TRT / 1300 UTC / 0900 EST. Participants will be able to send questions through the chat function.
Note: It’s our first time we’re using the new video feature on Substack, and we hope to make more webcasts, so please help us kick things off by joining. Here’s how:
1. Download the Substack app on your phone or tablet:
2. Log in and make sure you subscribe to Turkey recap and/or Kültürkampf.
3. That’s it! You’ll get a notification to join the webcast when we start.
See you soon!
