ANKARA — Turkish parliament is working overtime to finalize the annual budget, with daily debates running late into the night until the process ends Friday, Dec. 20.
According to government officials, the 2025 budget proposal aims to combat inflation.
Experts, however, told Turkey recap they expect consumer prices to keep rising as groups already crushed by the economic crisis will bear additional tax burdens, resulting in deeper inequality throughout the country.
